Event: Mayors of Spartanburg County Committee for People with Disabilities 2023 WALK AND ROLL

We are pleased to announce the Mayors of Spartanburg County Committee for People with Disabilities 2023 Walk and Roll! Please consider sponsoring this event through donations.

​

The Mayors of Spartanburg Committee for People with Disabilities was established in 2000 by former City Manager Roy Lane. Its mission is to improve the quality of life, in the realms of transportation, employment, housing, recreation, education, healthcare, and environment, for people with disabilities.

​

Funds raised are used to support the committee’s work with the Walk and Roll and provide support for students and newly employed individuals who are disabled.

​

For the past 16 years, we have annually celebrated national disabilities employment in October through our Walk and Roll event, where we empower our talented students with disabilities to reach their highest potential. The pandemic impacted our past few years of hosting this event in our traditional format. We are ready to resume planning for this great event to spread awareness!

​

Over 600 participants will come together to walk or roll through downtown Spartanburg including:

  • Students from high schools in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties

  • Students from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind

  • Students from The Charles Lea Center

  • Community leaders, sponsors, and volunteers

  • ​

Please be a part of making a difference in the lives of local students with disabilities as a sponsor for the 2023 Walk and Roll!

Listed below are the levels of contribution.

Please note the deadline for contributions is October 1, 2023.

 

  • Presenting Sponsor: $5,000

  • Platinum Sponsor: $2,000

  • Gold Sponsor: $1,500

  • Silver Sponsors: $1,000

  • Bronze Sponsor: $500

  • Patron Sponsor: up to $250
